I remember growing up and every adult in some type of authority figure would always make a statement “don’t ask why”. To much of their surprise I really knew the voice behind the statement. It was a voice that said you’re “Why” now proposes a question and I’m not sure if I understand it all myself. At other times it simply meant the ‘Why” is complicated and explaining it to you will only frustrate me, besides you’re not old enough to understand.
Now that I’m much older and still frustrated at times I have come to understand that asking why has become my most powerful question. It gives me a sense of purpose and a reservoir of tenacity. My “Why” keeps my character in check and my doubting thoughts under control. I consider myself grateful and honored to teach, coach and cover, therefore; I always encourage them to know “Why” they do what they do. Here is three BETTER words that can help you determine your “Why”
1. Reason= the core of your belief and justification for your action
2. Cause= the existing thing that produces an effect
3. Purpose= your intention and desired result
These are BETTER words with small BETTER definitions. As you began to ask yourself the questions why, take time to find out the reason, caution yourself to ask is there a cause and take your time to discover the purpose. This my friends will empower your ‘Why” and give you staying power when you feel like you cant go anymore.
